The coax goes from shack 80' away. The box is over (hole inside) a ground rod 8' into the Marsh Bed. A radial bus goes through the bulkhead 2' to another 8' ground rod, and the #6 copper bus connecting them has about 16 radials into the marsh and on my back yard, also connected to a sprinkler system control wire which is laid over about 1 Ac of Sod ±. (Not sure if adds anythng as the X, R, and SWR did not change when I hooked it up). An insulator tube penetrates the top of the bulkhead and contains a slacking spring. The antenna wire runs up through the "Bird Feeder". The lower 10' is 15KV insulated wire. After the Feeder, the wire continues up for a total of 30' vertical. Then continues West horizontally for another 95' and is about 25' above the ground.

Not a giant killer since it is only 30' vertical but being near the salt water sometimes helps. Confirmed 160 QSO with C82DX, just a freak opening for 5 minutes but only 15 North Americans got through. Same for Z8, T33, K9W and 7O6T. However, sometimes everyone leaves me in the dust.

For a 160 antenna only 30' off the ground, it has given me a ton of great moments, including XU7 and HL and 9M2.
